Successful Sunday
Simon has been away most of the weekend. It was his brother's birthday on Saturday and he travelled to Cardiff for the celebrations. Work and the lingering effects of that cold kept me at home. Still it did mean that there were no interruptions other than the cat.
I got about six solid hours done on the anti-virus implementation. After some testing tomorrow, that means that I can decommission the test server and begin to wind down the project. Hurrah!
Now I mention all of this simply because I achieved most of it through remote desktop connections to servers in work. Another boon of the 21st century. I conducted my business from the comfort of a sofa in the front room, rather than having to traipse into work. That also meant that I could take regular tea breaks, listen to music while working, load the washing machine at intervals during the day and hang the washed clothes out on the line. What's more, I slouched about in a dressing gown for the first couple of hours. There are some things that you can't get away with in the office.
I feel like I've been uber-productive and that makes it even more diffiuclt to buckle down to the 400 word article I need to write for the staff magazine today.
